Buying and selling

CheckSig customers can benefit from the assisted brokerage service: extremely simple and secure, ideal for transactions of significant amounts. Just give a buy (or sell) order and send (receive) the amount by bank transfer. The fee for market, limit, and recurring orders is 1%; for limit orders, the fee is net of service costs up to 0.06%.

Custody accounts

Monthly fees are calculated as a percentage of the amount actually held in custody during the reporting month, with a minimum fee of €10 per month. The higher the amount, the lower the percentage charged. If no funds are held in custody, no commission is due.

Deposits

Deposits are possible at any time, unlimited and free; they include the possibility of being assisted by our team.

Withdrawals

Withdrawal operations are possible at any time. Euro withdrawals costs €2.50 each (instant SEPA transfer, whenever supported), crypto withdrawals are free, net of network fees.

Custody with `protocol staking`

Staking

Placing crypto in protocol staking is free and has no minimum or maximum amount limits. The accrual of staking proceeds usually begins two day after the staking order is placed; for significant amounts, the technical times might be longer. CheckSig retains 1/3 of the proceeds as a commission, in addition to the usual custody fees.

Unstaking

Removing crypto from protocol staking to return them to simple custody is subject to a 0.10% fee and has no minimum or maximum amount limits. The accrual of proceeds is suspended from the day of the unstaking order. The corresponding availability of those crypto in simple custody usually occurs the following day, but for significant amounts, the technical times might be longer.

Crypto Tax Report

To make it easier for you to stay in compliance with the tax authorities CheckSig helps you prepare your crypto-tax dossier: the documentary collection of your transactions in fiat and crypto currencies. This can include both assets held at CheckSig and additional funds managed with other providers.

The basic cost of the service is €390 for the simplest cases; for complex cases, a quote will be provided at an hourly rate of €95. To get your free quote, fill out this questionnaire.

For those who have bought, sold and held crypto exclusively through CheckSig, the Crypto Tax Report service is free. In any case, you only pay for the Crypto Tax Report service once if you subsequently operate exclusively with CheckSig: its free update is the Fiscal Report that we send to our customers every year.
